Kids Safety Day May 15th 2004

The Day went great as Sgt Paul Racchi from the West Haven Police Dept. talked about telling our parents where we are going and who we are going with.  And NEVER TALK TO STRANGERS.

Orange Police Department Officer Heather Chambers  talked about safety on a bike, How it is important to wear an approved Bike helmet and to think when we ride.  To take care of our bike and check it before we ride.

Caption Gary from the fire Dept. told us how important it is for us to have working smoke alarms, with fresh batteries.  We must test the smoke alarms by pressing in the test button once a month.  He also told us how important the equipment is that they use to save lives, as well as protect themselves from fire.

Fireman Bill demonstrated the uniform that protects them from fire and smoke.

Paramedic Jim trained in tai-kwan-do for 10 years and really loves martial arts.

Miss Porto Rico signed autographs and took pictures with everyone.
